Made with fresh orange juice & Easy to make! These orange donuts are so tasty, and they’ll be gone as soon as you make them. Baking is always fun with friends. So give your friends a call and start baking.

Vegan Baked Orange Donuts
Serves 6
INGREDIENTS
DONUTS
2 c all-purpose flour
3/4 c organic sugar
2 t baking powder
pinch salt
1/4 c almond milk
1 t organic orange flavor (or vanilla extract)
6 T aquafaba*
2 T non-dairy, unsalted butter Original Earth Balance – Vegan Buttery Spread
1/4 c fresh squeezed orange juice
2 T orange zest Use 1 large orange
ORANGE GLAZE
2 c organic powdered sugar
1/3 c fresh squeezed orange juice**
4 T orange zest (use 2 large oranges) DIVIDED

DIRECTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
- Spray your donut pan with cooking oil.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
- Add in the almond milk, orange flavor, aquafaba, buttery spread, orange juice, and orange zest.
- Stir with a spoon until combined.
- Using a 1/3 measuring cup or a large plastic bag with a small cut on a corner to easily fill donut pan with batter. (fill 3/4)
- Bake at 425 degrees for 8-10 minutes, or until top of donuts spring back when you touch them.
- Let donuts cool completely on a wire rack.
- While donuts are cooling make the glaze in small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, orange juice, and 2 T orange zest.
- When the donuts are completely cooled, take one donut at a time and dip the top of the donut into the glaze to completely cover with the glaze while holding.
- Place on the wire rack.
- Use the remainder of 2 T orange zest to immediately sprinkle over the glaze.
To serve: Eat these yummy donuts while they’re warm and fresh. Enjoy!
*Aquafaba is the juice from a can of organic garbanzo beans, the perfect substitute for eggs. Best, if kept cold in the refrigerator before using. To make simply place cold garbanzo bean juice into a bowl and use a hand mixer mix at high speed until foamy. Usually a few minutes.
**If your glaze is too thick add 1 Tablespoon of orange juice as needed, or if to thin add 1 Tablespoon of powdered sugar as needed.
***I prefer using organic or home garden produce when available.
